So, I hear you're doing something with "All the Media."
I hope that I haven't been misinformed, because I definitely managed to sneak some "All the media" from the library.
It took some work to get the viewing tools, though, but they work.

And it's tragically awful.

To provide media, you need to have media.

So you're saying you have media you want to enjoy, but your viewing options are (currently) subpar.
Is your media from DeerNet or unavailable on DeerNet?

Heh, well that's a technical way of putting it.
So, what I have is currently on a kind of medium that they have on Earth.
I had to have some sweaty jerk make the equipment to play it on.

I imagine we could get a copy of all of it onto Deernet though, now that I have that.
It's incredibly trashy, and there's hours of this stuff so might take a little while.

Tech is my thing.
What kind of connections can this sweaty jerk equipment make?
I can get it onto DeerNet easy if I can get it off there.

I'm used to much better technology than we have in Trench. I've started to get to know people with lower tech to bridge the gap, when needed.
It's very case by case at this point.
Trashy is fine. Hours and hours is good.

So, as I understand it? If he understands the thing?
He can draw it and it creates the object exactly the way that it's intended to be.
There's some limits, and he can only draw so much at a time.
But it's pretty impressive.

I'm used to a mix. Our robotics are much better than around here.
But the weapons tech is different, but weirdly comparable in its own way.
Alright, so we're figuring out how to get you fast and furious then.

(OOC: The other character mentioned is Equius. I figure his services get used from time to time. He's easy to handwave, or you can deal with him too. Sweaty little troll wonderboi he is.)

Is your equipment portable, or do I need to come to wherever you have it?
What is fast and furious about?

Yeah, the stuff he gave is pretty portable.
One small box will carry everything, so I can bring it to you if you want.
And, near as I can tell? Criminals running car races, heists and insane hijinx.

Oh, and doing things with cars that they are definitely not meant to do.

Bring it to The Entertainment Feed in Cellar Door. It has a large clock on its front.

Good. That sounds extremely unrealistic.

No problem. I'll package them up and we can get it all downloaded.
And you have no idea.
There are some car stunts that make even me shocked.
And I flew down from an airship with only an umbrella.

Which is not actually a joke.

Are you very light?

Yes, actually I am extremely light.
But my dear, sweet hush is also specially engineered and incredibly strong.
I augment her with my aura to boot, enough that she took a glancing lightsaber hit.
So, she's not just any ordinary umbrella.

That sounds like a one of a kind umbrella.
Did she come with you, or is that also made here?

One of a kind, like no other.
She was commissioned for me back home and came with me when I arrived here.
I can fight with other weapons, but I know my preferences.

We don't have much one of a kind where I'm from. Almost everything is mass produced.
Do you fight more here or at home? How's it compare?

So, in terms of the every day, it's about the same.
Grimm are an ever present reality back home, but you usually run into them more rarely.
You have to be the sort who's actively looking for them at any time.

But what this place lacks is an army of grimm actively trying to wreck shit.
That isn't here at all.

In my experience, when people get bored, they do dumb dangerous things.

Lets keep the armies in the media only please.

It pays the bills, so to speak, but it also keeps me from being all in my own head too.

And don't worry. I prefer not to bring work home with me.

I like watching media. It keeps me from getting bored.
It's nice that it can pay the bills, so to speak, here since it helps reduce corruption.

That would be bad for the media.

That's a rather novel way of handling that kind of work, and gotta say? I approve.
I'll be by soon with the stuff, might even partake one of these days too.

Life here is hard enough here for most people. We may as well all relax.

Have you seen Fast and Furious on a large display? Long shots are close to life size.

Not yet, but I tell you what.
Ruby would flip over the idea of watching that thing on the biggest screen imaginable.
Especially with the kind of sound system to boot.

She'd probably drag people in and start babbling about Dom.
girl's already a fangirl of him.

Pick a night, and we can set it up. Weekly or every other week to watch them all.
I've fixed the space up.

I think a "Once a week" sort of showing would be just about right.
You know, the sort of thing that gets them hooked and coming back for more.
Better than binging for days straight.

Biological functions also interfere with lengthy binges in large groups.

Ya know, I never even thought of that.
It was just the two of us so I wasn't considering the possibility, but you're right.
That'd get messy to time out properly.
